Spanish Club Tees

The ND Spanish Club loves the look of their new t-shirts.  The guitar and maracas add a cool musical vibe to the newly formed group.  Gracias, Jada & Kelsey, ME Embroidery for helping with the design!  It turned out fantastic.  Because the design is not date specific,  the club has used the shirt for the last two years.

Our club also began selling Mexican Fried Ice Cream.  Our fan base quickly grew although the temperatures began to fall.  We thank everyone for supporting our group and look forward to sharing some of the delicious dessert with you again soon.

Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15-10/15)

Spanish students did a variety of activities for Hispanic Heritage Month. Twenty-nine club members attended a dinner held at Casa Sevilla in Odon on Thursday, September 19, at 7:30 p.m.  We had a great turnout and delicious meals.  Gracias to Casa Sevilla for hosting our large and energetic group!

Club Attends Hispanic Flamenco Ballet at Castle High School in Newburgh, Indiana

Several Spanish Club members their sponsor, & bus driver attended the Latin American Extravaganza held at Castle High School.  The professional dance troop shared dances and costumes from South of the Border.  They gave dazzling performances of choreographed and precise dances such as Salsa, Merengue, and Cumbia along with authentic folkloric songs.  The bilingual show was filled with live music and tremendous showmanship.

Lunch at the Fiesta Acapulco Mexican Restaurant in Newburgh

After the seeing the Latin American dance performances, the club members had a delicious meal at Fiesta Acapulco in Newburgh.  The students practiced their skills by ordering in Spanish.  This was the 1st visit for all of the group except for their sponsor.  Everyone thought the food and service were great.
