Welcome to the North Daviess Jr./Sr. High School!
Welcome to North Daviess Jr/Sr High School. North Daviess Jr./Sr. HS is a 21st century high school focusing our teaching as a Project Based Learning (PBL) school. PBL is not a different “style of teaching” but rather a different way of thinking. We engage the student’s learning through real world problems to solve. Additionally, we are a One to One school. Every student has a mini computer and learn, in most classes through those devices. While each student has a mini, those mini’s are a resource. Our teachers do present lessons.
North Daviess has a full offering of extra-curricular activities to involve students in before and after school events.

Throughout the year, students will need to use the following school supplies.

- Audio headphones (Wired Ear Buds) for testing
- Presentation clothes*
- #2 Pencils
- Black ink pens
- Red ink pens
- Highlighters
- Lined note books
- 2” or bigger three ring Binder
- 3” X 5” note cards (if you are enrolled in Speech you will need 500 note cards)
- Pocket folders
Junior High Specific additional needs:
- 1 large 3-ring binder (at least 1 ½ inches in width)
- 8 or more 3-hole punched (to fit in binder) subject separators with pockets and label tabs
- 50 or more pages of loose-leaf, 3-hole punched lined note paper
*Proper presentation clothes include the following and must meet all ND dress code standards:
- Dress pants/slacks (not jeans, cargo pants, or sweat pants)
- Skirts or dresses
- Dress shirts (not t-shirts or sweatshirts)
- Dress shoes (not tennis shoes or flip-flops)

North Daviess High School is recognized by CELL as a Fully Endorsed Early College Provider
On June 26, 2019 North Daviess Jr/Sr High School was recognized by University of Indianapolis’ Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) as a Fully Endorsed Early College provider. Only thirty high schools in Indiana have received this distinction.
The Early College High School model gives students a head start on the rest of their lives. These small schools allow students to earn both a high school diploma and up to two years of credit toward a bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree. While open to all students, the model specifically serves low-income young people, first-generation college students, English language learners, and students of color, all of whom are statistically underrepresented in higher education and for whom society often has low expectations for academic achievement.
In today’s competitive world, a high school diploma only serves as a stepping-stone in a student’s educational journey. To achieve economic prosperity and lifelong success in the 21st century, all students must graduate high school and move on to college. Early College High Schools remove the academic, financial, and psychological barriers that prevent too many students from advancing to and succeeding in college. Since students earn college credit while in high school, the time it takes to complete a college degree is condensed. Students and families also benefit from reduced or free tuition costs. Ultimately, Early College High Schools turn obstacles into opportunities for student success.
Indiana College Core
Do you want to get a head start on college? The Indiana College Core allows high school students to earn 30 general education credits that can be transferred as a block to any public college or university in Indiana, as well as some private institutions. In other words, students who earn the College Core in high school may already be finished with their first year of college at a fraction of the cost. What is FAFSA?
The Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the most important document for determining if you’re eligible for financial aid — money to help you pay for education and training beyond high school. The easiest way to file the FAFSA is online at FAFSA.gov.
After you file your FAFSA, your college will be able to tell you which scholarships and grants you could receive as well as how much money you can borrow in federal loans.
